ManchesterPros is an independent directory of 572+ local service businesses across Manchester and Greater Manchester — plumbers, electricians, accountants and solicitors.
Who's behind it
ManchesterPros is founded and run by Kamran, based in Manchester. We're not tradespeople, accountants or solicitors ourselves — our job is building and maintaining a directory people can trust, checking business credentials, and researching guides against official gov.uk and regulator sources rather than guessing.
What we do
We help people in Manchester find a local plumber, electrician, accountant or solicitor without wading through generic national directories or paid ads. Listings are free for businesses to appear in; businesses can pay for a featured placement or a tracked phone line, but that never affects whether a business is included in the first place.
Where the data comes from
Most listings start from public Google Maps business data (name, category, area, phone, rating, review count). Businesses can also claim and update their own listing directly — see List your business.
What "Verified" means
A "Verified" badge means we've checked the business holds the relevant trade credential for its category — Gas Safe for plumbers, NICEIC for electricians, ICAEW/ACCA for accountants, or an SRA registration for solicitors. It's a credential check, not a personal recommendation or an endorsement of quality of work.
How we make money
Free listings stay free. Businesses can optionally pay for a Featured placement or a Lead Gen plan with a tracked phone number — full pricing is on the List your business page. We don't take a commission or referral fee on work you agree with a business directly.
